Marvel launched Phase 2 with a huge hit: Iron Man 3. This phenomenal movie almost came close to the Avengers box office wise, which is saying a lot. Marvel is launching 5 movies over the course of Phase 2. They are:
Iron Man 3: May 3rd, 2013
Thor: The Dark World: November 8th, 2013
Captain America: The Winter Soldier: April 4th, 2014
Guardians of the Galaxy: May 16th, 2014
The Avengers 2: May 1st, 2015
This Phase looks good judging by Iron Man 3, and the Thor The Dark World trailer. However, this phase is looking for a more dark edge to the films. Iron Man 3 (SPOILER ALERT) has Pepper held hostage and Tony turns to find her in the middle of Tennessee. Did I mention Aldrich Killian can breath fire? Yeah, he can. Thor The Dark World is looking pretty grim, too. According to the official synopsis (and a couple spoilers) (SPOILER ALERT) Jane is possessed by a Dark Elf and Thor seeks help from, drum roll please, LOKI. Not cool, but then again, cool. Captain America The Winter Soldier features the return of Bucky Barnes as (SPOILER ALERT) the Winter Soldier, who fights against Steve Rogers. Not fun fighting against a zombie.
Marvel Phase 2? Mixed feelings.
